Keep your children safe in the sun

If you’re going away on holiday or simply enjoying a day out this summer, make sure your little ones stay safe in the sun.

If your child complains of a headache, dizziness or cramps they may be suffering from heat exhaustion or dehydration. Help them sit down in a cool place and give them plenty of fluids to drink then seek medical advice.

If your child has been sunburnt move them to the shade, and give them a cool drink. Dab the sunburn with cold water. Apply after-sun cream to soothe the skin. Seek medical advice if there is blistering. If you want more advice feel free to contact us by email
