Who is the ITC Certificate in Sport, Exercise and Fitness for?
This Level 3 qualification is for the sports person, coach, spectator or other involved adult. As well as the basic life support and topics found upon most first aid courses, this qualification includes key sports related incident management content, including sports injury assessment, cease/return to activity decision making and safe moving.
Content includes: return to play decisions, managing specialist sports kit such as gum shields, when to and not to use ice, and sports specific first aid such as managing winding, blows to testicles, dead leg, possible compartment syndrome, assisting from pitch and other sports related first aid concerns.
This qualification is designed to provide essential life saving skills. Typical delivery methods are predominantly practical and the course is assessed by continual observation of candidate performance.
How the qualification is instructed
The course is delivered as one coherent module and contextualised to make the course relevant for, and aimed at, sporting and activity professionals from the start of the training. This gives the first aider a clear understanding of the roles and priorities for managing first aid situations within sporting and activity settings.
This Course is only run as a Group Booking due to the complexity of organising it. If you are looking for an individual place, let us know and we can put you on our Waiting list for spaces on a Private course where the Client will allow spare spaces to be sold to individuals.

We aim to match instructors to your specific training requirements. They are aware of the specific needs of various outdoor environments, fully understanding the problems and judgements that have to be made when dealing with incidents in stressful, dangerous and remote situations.
Our training is very practical and hands on. We do not rely upon the usual ‘death by PowerPoint’, instead we use progressive incident scenario based training methods. Our courses teach techniques proven to work in real life incidents and not just in a classroom. Our training builds confidence and develops first aid skills into complete incident management.
All candidates must attend the full course to qualify. Each candidate is continually assessed throughout.
